2012 Team Weight Training to begin

2012 Football team weight training will be held each Tuesday and Thursday right after school from 3-4:30pm. Players must have a current TSSAA physical and permission form sign and on file with the coaches in order to participate. Forms can be picked up from Coach McClurg or Coach Flynn.

AMS Banquet 2011

Parents/Guardians

We need help planning and organizing the middle school banquet for our Championship Team. If you are interested and can help in any way please let us know as it will be greatly appreciated. The banquet will take place in the AMS Commons area (lunchroom) at a date yet to be finalized but close to the winter break in Dec. This will give us time to get everything planned/organized/created/ordered for a fantastic event for our team. We need help with the following:

1. Potluck/Desert/Drinks/etc….. we need to know who is bringing what so we don’t have too many of the same thing.
2. Plates/Napkins/Cups/Plasticware
3. Decorations

Currently we are working on putting together either a highlight video or game compilation on DVD. We will have to charge for those to cover the cost. More info will be available as we get close to the banquet. Just keep an eye on the website for up to date info regarding this. Each player will receive a championship t-shirt and a trophy or memory keepsake.

If you are unable to help with the banquet, donations would be greatly appreciated. Make checks payable to “Alcoa Middle School Football Boosters”. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or need additional information. We need this information back as soon as possible. Yellow forms were sent home with the boys regarding this information to be returned today. We understand that not all parents/guardians received this so please email Coach McClurg mmcclurg@alcoaschools.net by the end of the week, 4th Nov 2011 so we can start getting things in order.

AMS Football Insurance Waiver 2011

The was one of the forms handed out at the football meeting and is mandatory for every player. Please turn this completed form in as soon as possible or along with your medical forms that are needed by April 29th, 2011.

Sports Medical Physicals

Forms needed by April 29th, 2011. Coach McClurg will give these to the Doctors on on May 2nd. when the players get their free physicals.

All football athletes must have a TSSAA approved sports medical physical to be eligible to participate in Spring, Summer and Fall practice. Medical forms are provided (find link below) and must be completed by the athletes legal guardian. Physicals must be dated during or after May 2011 for any game/practice participation. East Tennessee Medical Group will be providing FREE physicals to our athletes during the coming weeks. The date will be announced and posted here on the site. Please be sure to have the proper forms completed and returned to ensure that your child is able to participate.
